Meet other like-minded youth for some fun & for some time in the air. Based out of the Livermore Airport (LVK) we have both social and learning opportunities. We assist with scholarships, internships and mentorships. We make possible every opportunity to get you in the air, introduce you to the various aviation & aerospace resources in the area – and most importantly, have fun!
Aviation Career Exploring is a hands-on program open to young men and women (aged 14-20 years old) with an interest in learning more about careers in the fields of aviation and aerospace.
Our program is open to all. But, we make extra efforts to get women, minorities and economically disadvantaged youth involved in aviation & aerospace. If you fall into one of these categories, you'll fit right in!
THE MOST POPULAR AVIATION & AEROSPACE CAREERS INCLUDE:
• Pilots & Astronauts
• Mission & Payload Specialists
• Aircraft Mechanics & Fabricators
• Aerospace Engineers
• Airport Management and Operations

You will learn about the educational requirements for a career in aviation or aerospace and will receive tangible advice on steps you can take now to prepare and position yourself for a successful career in the field of aviation or aerospace.
Our goal is to spend time together, have fun, and learn about career opportunities. And, for those interested in doing so, we'll help you work towards obtaining your sport, recreational or private pilot certificate.

This is our home. We are part of a community of flyers and enthusiasts housed out of hangars and offices on these many acres. Our explorer post is itself renting hangar space within the secure area of the airport. This allows our youth members to get closer to the people and activities that keep an airport running. |
